The student should also be in a position to apply the knowledge they will acquire in the topic practically, in their day to day activities. Instructions: The lesson will begin by defining terms like interest, commission, discounts, profit and loss. Then a number of problem will be solved in class and handouts with already solved mathematical problems issued to the students. The students will also be allowed to solve some problems in groups. Assessment: To ensure that the students have understood the day's content, they will be required to solve individual problems in class to assess whether the teachers teaching objectives have been achieved.
